Christopher J. McLucas

Christopher J. McLucas is the 2017-2018 District Governor for District 5790 and was the 2010-2011 President of the Arlington Sunrise Rotary Club, Arlington, Texas.  He is an Arch Klumph Society Member of The Rotary Foundation, a Benefactor, a Paul Harris Society Member, and a Fourth Level Bequest Society Member. Christopher served as  Charter President of the District 5790 Rotary Alumni Association and as the District 5790 Coordinator for International Fellowship of Scouting Rotarians.  In addition, he is a lifetime member of Water and Sanitation Rotary Action Group, “WASRAG”.

Christopher has been a Rotarian since 2004 as a result of participating in his first Polio National Immunization Day (“NID”) in Kolkata (Calcutta), India as a Non-Rotarian in February 2004.  He returned to India as a Rotarian in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015  and 2016 for other Polio NIDs.  Christopher has also participated in a NID in Abuja, Nigeria in 2010 while attending the Inaugural World Polio Summit. Christopher has served for nine years as a trainer for Rotary Lone Star PETS on various topics including Membership, Foundation, Media, and Fund Raising.  He is the  Audio Visual Coordinator for Rotary Lone Star PETS, and served for seven years as the PETS Webmaster.  Christopher has participated as a representative for Lone Star PETS and a presenter for the PETS Alliance in Evanston at the yearly meeting. He is now serving as the At-Large Member for the PETS Alliance Board.  He was the Webmaster and Registrar for Rotary Multi-District Training Institute (RMDTI).  He has attended four Rotary International Conventions and was the GSE team leader to Rotary District 4770 Brazil in 2013 for District 5790.

Christopher has participated in more than 32 grants through The Rotary Foundation in several countries including Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Haiti, India, Brazil, Turkey, Ukraine, Nigeria, Cuba, Nepal, and Kenya and has contributed as the International Partner on several of the Global Grants. Inn his support of and dedication to the eradication of Polio, Christopher participated in Polio immunizations in all four of the then endemic countries (Nigeria, Afghanistan, Pakistan and India) while President of his Rotary Club 2010-2011. Christopher has returned to the endemic countries several times since.

Christopher owns a National Title Insurance Agency licensed in 43 states in the USA as well as several other businesses. He was an Adjunct Professor for 16 years at Dallas County Community College, teaching Contract and Tort Law.  He previously taught as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Texas at Arlington teaching Statistics and Criminological Theory.  Christopher was the 2013-2014 and the 2015-2016 and Board Chairman of the Boys and Girls Club of North Central Texas, and a supporter of Arlington Life Shelter.  Christopher is an Eagle Scout and will always be a United States Marine, Semper Fi.

Christopher has a great family with his wife Heather and his with his children Olivia Rose (4), Adalynn Grace (1), Aryel (11), Asher (4), Clayton (22), Laura (29) and Kalie (27) and grandson Banner (3).
