A member and past president of the Bethesda Chevy Chase Rotary Club, Greg Wims served as Area Governor for the Bethesda clubs, and has an extensive resume of volunteer work and caring for others. He studied at Howard University and Montgomery College as well as the Harvard University John F. Kennedy School of Government.
In the past 50 years, Greg has raised more than $1 million, logged more than 900,000 miles and volunteered in excess of 38,000 hours! He has served in a variety of human rights capacities in Montgomery County and has been active since the early 1990s in the NAACP, serving as president of the Maryland State Chapter.
Greg is the volunteer founder and president of the Victims’ Rights Foundation, Inc., and vice president for public affairs of Bold Concepts, Inc.He has received recognition from more than 100 organizations, including the United States Justice Department, Montgomery College, YMCA Metropolitan Washington and WETA Public Television. The organizations he has served are numerous and varied, from NGOs to health care related, to the board of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
